ORANGE you glad it's MONDAY?! Color Challenge and Design Team Call!

Can you believe this is already the LAST Color Challenge for February? This means you have to get in on the action NOW, in order to be eligible to win THIS PRIZE:



YUM. I love Grungeboard something ferocious, and these Harlequin Elements are HOT! There are flourishes, skulls, arrows, clocks... So much smelly goodness to play with! Seriously - have you smelled Grungeboard? Adina-Dollie has a weird obsession for it because of the smell! Oh, and because it's SUPER fun to play with. And I guess the rest of the prize pack is pretty nifty too. ;)

Today's Color Challenge is another earthy one! We're leaving February with a couple of my favourite colours, hands down....

Our funky Dollie, Heidi, retells the classic with this adorable layout (and I'm torn, because I LOVE the colours, but I hate bananas!). Her son makes me lullz!

And I, your hostess, Leah the Orange, wanted to play with my new stuff - the Spellbinders die, my Stampers Anonymous sentiments (thanks, t!m) and my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

I think we can all agree that the gawjess Design Team gals have ROCKED our socks with their amazing talent and inspirational projects during their term as Dollies... (THANK YOU LADIES!!!!!!!!) And as their initial term comes to a close next month, it's time to look to our loyal followers and see who else is interested in playing with Dollies!!

Intrigued? Here's what we are looking for:

  3+ creative, fun, out-of-the-box-thinkin', hip, interesting, passionate, outgoing crafty people to join us with our weekly challenges.
• 
  
  You must be able to commit to doing one assigned challenge per week (though the option is always there to do more) for a three month term (April - June).
• 
  
  We are looking for people who can spark creativity and are on top of things like deadlines, comments and whatever comes your way!
• 
  
  You must keep an active personal blog where you'll post your projects done for the Dollies.

At the end of this term, new DT members will receive a fun thank you RAK from the founding Dollies.

Still interested? Then email 3 of your FAVE projects that highlight your style, a quick "about me" and why you think you have what it takes to be a great Dollie to our email, designdollies@gmail.com. Today, February 16th, would have been my grandmother's birthday, had not passed away about seven years ago. In honor of ALL the lovely women who have touched our lives in one way or another, today's elements challenge asks you to create a project that honors the women in YOUR lives...

Design Dollies didn't take the day off! NEW COLOR CHALLENGE!

Good morning, folks! In Canada, it's "Family Day" - which was the most recently introduced holiday to break up the winter months. Apparently it was decided (by whom?!) that there must be a holiday in each month, so February got this one. In the U.S., it's Presidents Day, which means I'm off, although schools aren't. JOY! This means that I am not working on a day when I'd likely otherwise be very busy! AND I get to go gallavanting around the crafty stores, who all seem to be having some HUGE sales!

Before I get myself ready to SHOP (!!!), I have a brand new color combination for you folks... And out of curiosity, how many of you are THRILLED and RELIEVED to finally get away from the Valentine's theme? (I am!)

Went with a slightly different combo for this one:

LAVENDER, GREY and WHITE/IVORY.


Soft and subtle, but can still pack a punch! Observe:

Thursday is the day!

For lots of things! Sorry about the delay I had a lil slip and fall this morning on the ice and had to run to work before getting my post done. But a sore arm will not keep me from bringing you this week's sketchy goodness!!! The Dollies have had alot of fun with this and I hope you will too!
