there's so much that i could say, but i'm just going to jump in.
first of all, time to announce the winner of the December Color Challenges...
i still don't know how to post the screenshot for random.org (maybe that should be one of my resolutions!), but of 23 qualified entries for the month, the lucky winner is #3 - KRISTAL, of Bringin' It On! here's the entry she submitted for my ALL DRESSED IN WHITE challenge:
just LOVELY! :) congratulations, Kristal! please contact me at spazzicassi@yahoo.ca and i'll get this prize pack out to you!
this is the prize Kristal won:
now...
we have some BIG DEBUTS today! we have introduced you to them already, but now you'll see the additions to our left sidebar, that will bring you to our new Dollies' profiles. be sure to check them out, visit their blogs, and follow along, because they're going to wow you! PLUS, our very first guest designer joins us to kick things off!
without further ado, here is your very first COLOR CHALLENGE for 2010 with the Design Dollies...
PRIMARY COLORS - red, yellow, blue! these must be your PREDOMINANT COLORS in order to qualify for the January prize.
something bright to get this party started, ya know? i was a little tired of all the christmas colors and the silvers and golds, and really wanted something bright and sunny (maybe it will help me warm up over here - it's SO COLD in South Jersey!).
we have some AMAZING work to share, so let's start with...
our first EVER Guest Design Dollie, Karen:
(yeah, she made it look easy, didn't she?!)
one of our brand new Dollies, Heidi:
(she has the BEST little captions for her layouts!)
from myself, your gracious hostess, Leah the Orange:
and from our little Mommy-to-be (again), Adina:
(love all that yummy dimension, and those distress stickles!)
and a little inspiration from another brand spankin' new Dollie, Nicole, who made this layout a while ago, but it's too much fun to NOT share with you! (plus it might help get that mojo flowin'!):
(Nicole likes the clean and simple style a lot, but she just has a way of bringing her photos to life, and really making the project focus on its subject. just LOOK at this photo! aren't you glad she shared?)
now, in order to play along, you can do this challenge on its own, or you can wait until our Elements challenge posts tomorrow, and even our Sketch challenge on Thursday, to combine two or all three for a chance at all three categories' prizes... you have until next SUNDAY, January 10, at midnight EST to link to your project (for this challenge or any combination this week). please keep in mind this must be a NEW project created specifically for this challenge, and you should be linking directly to your project, rather than just to your blog. oh, and don't forget to link back to us in your blog entry!
we also have some players from other countries, who speak other languages, and we LOVE THAT... we just wish we could read about your projects and your inspiration! i'm making a special request to our international players to pop one of those Google translate buttons on your blogs, so we can ooh and ahh over your wonderful creations! :D
